Founded as a turnkey steel fabrication and erection company in 1976, Dave and Scott Schuff's vision of being a total steel contractor has became a household name within the steel industry. While wide market growth continued in the design build/assist market, our in house detailing, engineering, fabrication and erection expertise allowed Schuff Steel Company to emerge as the largest steel fabricator and erector in the United States . The commitment of “We Make it Happen” has been the driving force that our 900 employees strong have lived by daily, and is what makes Schuff Steel Company the financially strong and stable partner that will help make your next project a success.
With Schuff Steel's fabrication shops located in Phoenix and Gilbert Arizona, along with our Ottawa Kansas facility, Schuff Steel Company has the capacity and locations necessary to handle any size project, located anywhere in the western United States.
With the implementation of our S.I.M.S. (Schuff Integrated Management System) program management system, along with the utilization of other project management tools such as Fabtrol, Primavera Project Planner and Expedition, Schuff Steel Company has assembled all the management tools necessary to professionally manage your project. The S.I.M.S system is a 4D design/management tool that allows our Project Management staff to manage the fabrication of your steel to a degree not available to any other fabricator. This system also affords Schuff Steel Company the ability to closely monitor any outside fabricators that may be working on your project, which gives Schuff Steel Company a fabrication capacity far outside our own facilities, while implementing our own stringent in-house tracking and process procedures.
Schuff Steel Company is a subsidiary of Schuff Steel International, a holding company formed to better integrate the companies that comprise the Schuff International family. With these additional structural steel and joist manufacturing facilities, we are a complete design build turnkey structural steel manager.
