South Phoenix Industry Challenge/Good Neighbor Partnership
Preliminary Reduction Goals established for ICGN EMS Companies:
The following seven companies and the City of Phoenix are participating in the EMS workshops:
• Able Engineering and Component Services
• Chem Research Co. Inc.
• UCSC Ltd. Co.
• City of Phoenix
• Western States Petroleum
• Schuff Steel Co.
• National Gypsum
• Goodrich
After 7 months during which EMS participants met 5 times, the above seven
companies and the City of Phoenix have established 33 environmental objectives and
targets (goals). These goals are summarized in the graph above. For air emissions, six
companies have developed a total of 14 goals aimed at reducing air emissions an
average of 46%.
Emissions Reduction Workgroup Update – Reporting Forms Near Completion:
Goals setting and annual reduction reporting forms, reporting timelines, due dates,
policies and procedures are in final draft and will be available by September. Initial goal
setting forms for all emissions reduction companies who are partners will be due to
Trace Terrin at Maricopa County on October 1, 2005. Check your email messages
from Trace for the forms.
